Cybrarian (Cyber Librarian) Dalam Rangka Menghadapi Pengguna di Era Net Generation yang Memiliki Gaya Hidup Hedonisme

Hedonism amid net generation resulting behavior of the next generation has a high level of technology use and consumptive nature that likes to update the latest technology and social media use is high. This resulted in net generation behavioral change. To anticipate these behavioral changes will require librarians to become a partner of the user. Improvement can be done by making the librarian as cybrarian. Establishment of cybrarian is the one way to increase human resources in the library to provide services according to needs of the net generation. This increase can be given the library by providing training and education. A cybrarian will have the ability to visual literacy, digital literacy, ICT literacy, information literacy, and the others. Cybrarian will have the ability to provide knowledge to the net generation, so that the gadget they have to be utilized, particularly those giving a positive effect in improving technological capabilities and user communication

ANALISIS PENYEBARAN INFORMASI HOAX DIMEDIA SOSIAL DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA (Studi Mahasiswa Di Fakultas FISIP Universitas Bengkulu)

Media social menjadi media yang saat ini paling banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa di era perkembangan teknologi. Media social WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram menjadi 3 media social yang paling banyak digunakan. Informasi hoax dimedia social sangat banyak ditemukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis informasi hoax di media social. Analisis informasi ini menggunakan konten informasi hoax yaitu Fake news, Miss Information, click tautan, satira, dan postthruth. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan mengambil informan sebanyak 10 informan dari 5 jurusan yaitu S1 Kesejahteraan Sosial, S1 Administrasi Negara, S1 Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi, S1 Sosiologi, S1 Komunikasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Mahasiswa pernah menemukan informasi hoax di media social WhatsApp, Facebook dan Instagram. Mahasiswa secara tidak sadar pernah ikut mempercayai berita hoax dan ikut menyebarkan berita hoax. Di media social terdapat informasi hoax dalam kategori Fake news, Miss Information, click tautan, satira, dan postthruth.Mahasiswa mempunyai cara tersendiri untuk mengenali hoax dan terhindar dari hoax

Design Electric Bells to Improve Kinesthetic Intelligence for the View Image in the Library and Archive Department of Bengkulu Province

This study aims to design an electric bell and determine the kinesthetic improvement ability of visually impaired people after using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) listicv bell as an information guide. When a visitor wants to know the braille book, title, location, and classification of Dewey (DDC) then it is necessary to press the DDC bell and it will ring. People with visually impaired disabilities were the subjects of this study, and ten people as the object. Data collection using Tests, interviews, and documentation  is used to collect data. The method used quantitative experiments. In addition, descriptive analysis showed that the average pre-test score was 25.87 and the average post-test score was 21.05. so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The results of the study stated that the use of the Dewey electric bell (DDC) by the Bengkulu Provincial Library and Archives Service affected the kinesthetic ability of movement, visual and  motor  recognition of book classifications for the visually impaired

Analisis Pola Respon Pengguna Media Sosial Menjelang Pemilihan Pasangan Calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden 2019

Internet users in Indonesia reached 132 milion people in 2018. Sosial media is the most widely used in Indonesia is facebook and twitter, even Indonesia occupies the fourth position as the most Facebook users in the world. Facebook is widely used as a means of political education in the election of regional heads until the election of ppresident and vice president in 2019. Political education is intended as a practice of political life that can directly or indirectly influence the formation of attitudes, pattern of response and appreciation of the people to their political life. It includes the political behavior of the characters acting as goverment leaders and political figures who sit in supra-structural institutions and political infrastructure. Therefore,political education through sosial media is aimed at introducing candidates from certain political parties in the 2019 presidential and vice presidential elections. However, ahead of the 2019 presidential and vice presidential elections, there are many links regarding political figures whostumbled overcoruuption cases. The purpose of this study is to analyze the response patterns of sosial media users to the political parties participating in the election of presidential candidates and vice president 2019 who stumbled on corruption cases. The resaerch method using questionnaire. The result of this research is the majority of society using socia media in their life. Sosial media most often used is instagram and facebook. They almost all see cases of corruption in some social media. This affects their views on future leader elections

Dampak Sindrom Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Terhadap Pola Pencarian Informasi Mahasiswa Dalam Prespektif Krikelas

Internet saat ini merupakan media tercepat dan terupdate untuk berbagai event atau momentum. Dampak internet tentunya positif dan negatif tanpa memandang usia dan profesi. Salah satu dampak kecanduan internet adalah FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) Syndrome. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang merupakan studi pustaka (library research) dengan menggunakan dan mengidentifikasi buku, jurnal dan artikel yang berkaitan dengan “informasi perilaku kecanduan internet”. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa FoMO adalah ketakutan seseorang akan tertinggal informasi dari berbagai media sosial atau kehidupan sehari-hari. Dari masalah psikologis tersebut ternyata menimbulkan dampak lain yaitu perilaku pencarian informasi yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi psikologis penderita FoMO yang harus selalu memperbaharui informasi untuk memenuhi kepuasan psikologisnya.Kata Kunci: Fear of Missing Out, Perilaku Mencari Informasi, Krikelas, Psikologi, Social Medi

The Role of Village Library to Improve Literacy Program for Community Welfare

Background of study: The village library aims to improve the welfare of the community in the village. This library concept is called social inclusion-based library. Lentera Village Library also participates in efforts to improve the welfare of the people in the Tepi Laut Village through various efforts and activities in the development of the village library and community empowerment. Purpose: to look at the role of the village library in improving welfare literacy for the people in Tepi Laut Air Napal. Method: The research method in this research is using a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consisted of 5 informants, namely the village head, the person in charge of the library, the community, and students. The research was conducted using interviews and observation. Findings: The library in connectivity already has library infrastructure, in content the library has had welfare empowerment collections but it has not been said to be optimal because of the small number. Indicator Human where human resources in library management have not been said to be optimal because they still do not have the right manager. Conclusion: The library has empowered the community in improving literacy in community welfare and several forms of activities. However, it cannot be said to be optimal due to the unavailability of adequate collections and people who do not have the determination to use library services

KARAKTERISTIK KEPENULISAN ARTIKEL PADA JURNAL AGRISEP UNIVERSITAS BENGKULU TAHUN 2015-2019 MENGGUNAKAN KAJIAN BIBLIOMETRIKA

The purpose of this study is to know the characteristics of authorship and articles in the Journal AGRISEP at University of Bengkulu in 2015-2019 by using a study of bibliometrics based on several indicators. This research uses a descriptive quantitative study. The object is articles in the AGRISEP Journal of University of bengkulu in 2015-2019 with a total of 91 articles. Data were analyzed by using frequency tabulations. The results of this research show that the characteristics of writing and articles in the Journal of University of Bengkulu AGRISEP in 2015-2019 is vary greatly. It shows that the authors were male (54.08%). Most of the authors work as Lecturers (50.43%.). University of bengkulu contributed the most articles with almost 41 articles. Article was written by 3 authors (52.75%). Most of the authors have Master educational background. Articles use Indonesian language (96.70%.). The highest author's productivity is Sriyoto. The length of articles contain in this journal was 11-15 pages (56.15%). Articles contain 3 keywords were 51.14%, and the abstract length is around 150-199 words (35.16%). The most type of literature is Journal with 373 citations (36.93%). Based on these characteristics, it can be seen that the articles have met the written guidelines and articles that have been determined as well as an overview of the development of the articles in the AGRISEP Journal of Bengkulu University in 2015-2019

Pengembangan Perpustakaan Desa Dalam Peningkatan Budaya Literasi Masyarakat Desa Penembang Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah

The low condition of community literacy is characterized by the lack of book reading activities compared to other activities, the inadequate allocation of time to reading books, the small number of book collections, the lack of allocation of funds to buy books, and low visits to libraries and bookstores. The role of village libraries is necessary for supporting the improvement of community literacy culture, especially in areas with limited access to information sources. Village libraries also have an essential role in efforts to alleviate illiteracy, especially in rural communities. This service activity aims to optimize village libraries' management in Penembang Village, Bengkulu Tengah, and provide training to village library managers on effective village library management according to village library management standards. The method of implementing this activity includes procuring library material collections, providing reading facilities, and conducting training on village library management. The result of this activity is the availability of library collections, room design, and library management training. In improving village library services, the service team participated in adding a collection of books

YouTube as Digital Media Platform for Udayana University Students

Viewers can watch videos produced by media actors on YouTube, a well-known video-sharing platform. It requires searching methods because the volume of content is likewise growing. This study aimed to learn how Udayana University students could retrieve information via YouTube. A quantitative approach through a survey is the research method used. The study's object and population comprised 100 (one hundred) students from 13 (thirteen) distinct departments at Udayana University. Based on the study's results, most students access YouTube for entertainment. Students of Udayana University frequently watch YouTube videos. YouTube information search method does a decent job of choosing videos relevant to video recommendations (79%) but does an inadequate job of using the watch later function (55%). &nbsp

CURATION AND MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH LIBRARIES

Libraries, museums and archives hold valuable collections in a variety of media, presenting a vast body of knowledge rooted in the history of human civilisation. These form the repository of the wisdom of great works by thinkers of past and the present. The holdings of these institutions are priceless heritage of the mankind as they preserve documents, ideas, and the oral and written records. To value the cultural heritage and to care for it as a treasure bequeathed to us by our ancestors is the major responsibility of libraries. The past records constitute a natural resource and are indispensable to the present generation as well as to the generations to come. Libraries preserve the documentary heritage resources for which they are primarily responsible. Any loss of such materials is simply irreplaceable. Therefore, preserving this intellectual, cultural heritage becomes not only the academic commitment but also the moral responsibility of the librarians/information scientists, who are in charge of these repositories. The high quality of the papers and the discussion represent the thinking and experience of experts in their particular fields. The contributed papers also relate to the methodology used in libraries in Asia to provide access to manuscripts and cultural heritage. The volume discusses best practices in Knowledge preservation and how to collaborate and preserve the culture. The book also deals with manuscript and archives issues in the digital era.
